Customers often mistype shipping addresses and this leads to failed deliveries and ultimately, upset customers. Inaccurate shipping addresses may result in returned shipments and costly redelivery fees. Address Validator fixes this problem by prompting customers with suggested corrections. Our simple interface can help boost customer satisfaction by reducing the frequency of failed deliveries.
Address Validator processes orders in the following countries:
We will add more countries based on demand.
Yes, as long as you use the standard checkout experience or ReCharge and not other customized checkouts like Shopify Pay or OneClickUpsell (OCU).
The impact to conversion rate is negligible. By default, the validation prompts appear on the Thank You page post-checkout. With this configuration, the impact to conversion rate is zero. If you choose to embed the validation prompts on the first step of checkout, the impact to conversion rate is empirically less than 1% with the drop-offs mainly attributed to customers that specified invalid addresses.
Address Validator only processes orders in supported countries that go through the standard BigCommerce, Shopify or ReCharge checkout and that have not yet been fulfilled. You will not be charged for historical orders.

If address validation is configured to occur on the Thank You page after checkout, a usage fee is applied whenever an order is created. Otherwise, a usage fee is applied when a customer specifies a shipping address and proceeds to the second step of checkout. This charge will not be applied if the customer drops out before specifying the shipping address, but it will be if the customer drops out after specifying a shipping address. Essentially, we only apply a charge when we have to process an address. You will only be charged once per order, even if the customer alters the address multiple times.
Yes. The app sends every address to our data provider for verification. We do not own the underlying data and would not know whether an address is valid without this step.
